MCP Server

Connect Measure to Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Antigravity, Cursor and other AI coding agents. Query crashes, traces, sessions and bug reports from your editor or AI agent workflows.

Measure exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI-powered coding tools query your app's crash and error data directly.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that allows AI tools to interact with external data sources through a consistent interface. With Measure's MCP server, you can ask AI assistants to look up crashes, analyze error trends and inspect stack traces without leaving your editor.

Setup

You can connect Measure's remote MCP server to any client with the endpoint:

VersionEndpoint
Cloudhttps://agent.measure.sh/mcp
Self Hostedhttps://[your-measure-agent-domain]/mcp

The examples below use the cloud endpoint. If you self-host Measure, replace it with your own agent domain.

Add the server from the terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http measure https://agent.measure.sh/mcp

Or add it to .mcp.json in your project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "measure": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://agent.measure.sh/mcp"
    }
  }
}

When you first use a Measure tool, your client opens a browser window for you to sign in to Measure. Subsequent requests work automatically.

Available Tools

ask_question

Ask a natural language question to help debug an app and let Measure Agent work out the answer using the app's telemetry data.

list_apps

List all apps the authenticated user has access to.

get_filter_keys

List the filter keys of an entity (spans, bug_reports, sessions, errors, error_group_events, journeys, network, app_health, memory, funnels or builds): the vocabulary a filter expression is written with.

get_filter_values

List the values a filter key can be set to for an app.

get_metrics

Get app metrics including adoption, crash-free/ANR-free sessions and launch performance (cold/warm/hot p95).

get_app_health_over_time

Get the app health timeline: sessions, crashes (fatal exceptions) and ANRs bucketed over time.

get_errors

Get error groups (crashes, non-fatal exceptions and ANRs) for an app, filterable by error type and severity.

get_error

Get individual error events (exception or ANR) for a specific error group.

get_errors_over_time

Get time-series of error occurrences across all error groups, filterable by error type and severity.

get_error_over_time

Get time-series of occurrences for a specific error group.

get_error_distribution

Get attribute distribution (OS, device, version, country etc) for a specific error group.

get_error_common_path

Get the most common user navigation path leading to a specific error group.

get_sessions

Get sessions for an app, ordered by most recent first.

get_sessions_over_time

Get time-series of session counts.

get_session

Get full session with all events.

get_memory_usage_over_time

Get aggregate memory usage over time. Use it to compare shifts in app's memory profile. Returns p50/p90/p95/p99 in KiB by app version/build and time bucket.

get_memory_usage_by_device_tier

Get a breakdown of memory usage by different device memory tiers. Returns p50/p90/p95 in KiB along with sampled-session and sample counts.

get_high_memory_sessions

Get a paginated list of sessions with high memory usage. Use get_session to connect a returned session ID to user actions, screens, and errors.

get_bug_reports

Get bug reports for an app, ordered by most recent first.

get_bug_reports_over_time

Get time-series of bug report counts.

get_bug_report

Get a single bug report with full details.

update_bug_report_status

Update the status of a bug report (open or closed).

get_root_span_names

Get all root span names for an app.

get_span_instances

Get span instances for a root span name.

get_span_metrics_over_time

Get p50/p90/p95/p99 duration metrics over time for a span name.

get_trace

Get full trace with all child spans.

get_alerts

Get alerts for an app, ordered by most recent first.

get_journey

Get user journeys for an app as a graph of screens.

get_funnels

Get an app's funnels, most recently updated first, optionally narrowed by a search on the funnel name.

get_pinned_funnels

Get an app's pinned funnels in their pinned order.

get_funnel

Get a single funnel with its steps, conversion window and pin.

get_funnel_event_names

Get the custom event names an app sent, which a funnel's steps are chosen from.

get_funnel_conversion

Get the users that reached each step of a funnel over a time range, and the median time between steps.

get_funnel_trend

Get a funnel's conversion by day, week or month, optionally with the builds released in that time.

get_funnel_cadence

Get how many users entered a funnel and converted in each hour of the week.

get_funnel_step_errors

Get the errors users hit while trying to get from one funnel step to the next, with how many of them converted or dropped off.

get_funnel_step_traces

Get the root spans recorded while users tried to get from one funnel step to the next, with their durations for users that converted and those that dropped off.

get_funnel_step_network

Get the network requests made while users tried to get from one funnel step to the next, with their latencies for users that converted and those that dropped off.

get_funnel_step_sessions

Get the sessions of users that converted, or of those that dropped off, between two funnel steps.

create_funnel

Create a funnel from a name, an ordered list of custom event names and a conversion window.

update_funnel

Change a funnel's name, steps or conversion window.

delete_funnel

set_funnel_pinned

Pin or unpin a funnel.

reorder_pinned_funnels

Change the order of an app's pinned funnels.

create_funnel, update_funnel, delete_funnel, set_funnel_pinned and reorder_pinned_funnels change funnels for everyone on the team, and need a role that can edit funnels in the dashboard.
